Barnados Brixton

Colleagues of Councillor John Whelan offered to run Barnado’s Brixton for a day to help raise funds for a special Barnado’s project to help looked after children.

The shop was a bussle of activity when we arrived and it was clear the day had been a huge success with lots of councillors from all parties coming along together with Kate Hoey MP and Chief Superintendant for Lambeth Nick Ephgrave coming along to show their support.

I came along to draw the raffle and thank everyone involved in this tremendous charity effort to provide much needed support for looked after children.
