The event launched a tree planting programme across Lambeth which will see hundreds of trees added to the borough.

The tree that we planted replaced one which had sadly died, which had been originally planted as a tribute to PC Patrick Dunne a community policeman who had been murdered in the course of his duties.
I was joined by children for Heathbrook School, The borough commander Nick Ephgrave, local councillors Helen O’Malley and Nigel Haselden and cabinet member for the environment Cllr Sally Prentice.
