As with the morning awards the evening Reach for the stars award ceremony celebrated the individual achievements of young people in care and leaving care in Lambeth.

The event was hosted by DJ Abrantee from Choice FM who presented awards in several categories with the themes Education, Participation, Leadership and a special award was presented by Rachel Adedeji, X-Factor finalist, for outstanding achievement.
Councillor Paul McGlone, lead member for Children and young people, presented an award to Phyllis Dunipace, Executive Director for Children and Young People’s Service, who will be retiring this year as a thank you for all her work in Lambeth care services.
