This was the 47th annual Streatham Youth and Community Trust party for the elderly and disabled. Streatham Youth and Community Trust put on this event for local elderly and those with special needs, bringing together the community at an event which is always throughly enjoyed by those who attend.

As a conclusion to the family day event this musical evening was an opportunity for emerging groups to showcase their talent and gain exposure. Whilst there I had a chance to look around their new building in Wellfield Road in Streatham and hear about the work they are doing there.

The event was Streatham Youth and Community Trust’s contribution to the national family week initiative with fun activities and workshops throughout the day. I was pleased to see Keith Hill MP at the event and we were given a dance lesson where I discovered Keith was a much better dancer than me.
