A Single Child

A single child,
A single chair.
A single child sitting there,
Within a room so bare.

A single child,
A single chair,
A single tear,
With no one to care.

The single child,
Lets out a single scream.
The single child so desperate,
To escape the situation he's in.

A single child,
Cowers from a single fist.
So deep the pain,
From a single hit.

A single chair,
The child gone.
It only took a single punch.
To take away the years of pain.
