Best Been Forgotten

as the distant echo
of painful yesterdays
whispers in the air
of moments ripped apart
tiptoeing across every written line
as yesterdays rewind
scorching past seconds of broken time.

as all that's lost grew in time to days
as it cannot bear to hold the weight of pain
moments drained from all you learn to forget
as every hour of what happened dissolved
because just for once its best not to know
as you'll sleep peacefully in the arms
of all that's best been forgotten, tomorrow.
