In the Shadows You sleep in shadows You forage in desperation Exhaustion is your ally You scar all you touch Those who've met you
Lie in wait
Felt but unseen
Waiting for the moment
Upon another victim
You will creep
Grow with the moon and all it holds
Nourished by every searching tear
Mightier in the depth of lonely fear
Where you continue to drain
You kill all hope around
Because you fear it knows your name
Sometimes survived
But never escaped
As you drown your victim in darkness
You keep all others away
Never forget you
And though they know
Where you prey
Sometimes to the shadows
They cannot help but stray
